Azerbaijan Government Scholarship 2026/27 (Fully Funded)

Applications are open for the Azerbaijan Government Scholarship 2026/27. This Program commemorates Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan are pleased to announce the “Heydar Aliyev” International Education Grant Program for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Scholarship is open to International students to undertake Preparatory courses, Undergraduate, Graduate, Doctoral, and General Medicine/Medical residency programs. The Scholarship duration is 5 years, and approximately 100 Scholarships will be awarded. There is no application fee. Eligibility Criteria

• The Scholarship is open to all Nationals except Azerbaijan.
• Citizenship: Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan or individuals whose citizenship in the Republic of Azerbaijan has been terminated will not be considered for the scholarship.
• Undergraduate and general medicine programs: Foreign nationals must be below 35 years old.
• Graduate and medical residency programs: Foreign nationals must be below 40 years old.
• Doctoral programs: Foreign nationals must be below 45 years old.

How to Apply for the Azerbaijan Government Scholarship 2026?

Step-by-Step Application Process:

• Do not apply directly. You must wait for your country’s designated authorities (Ministries, Embassies, and Higher Education) to announce the call for applications.
• Apply and submit your documents to the respective authorities.
• The respective authorities will then select and nominate eligible candidates.
• If nominated, you will proceed to the second stage of the application process. This involves applying through the Study in Azerbaijan Centralized Admission Service (SIACAS).
