Ad hoc appointment assistant (B-16) Stenographer (B-14)

There are vacancies for the posts of Stenographer (B-16) in the Services and General Administration Department under direct quota, the requisition of which has been sent to the Public Service Commission. There are also vacancies for Stenographer (B-14) in the Services Department, for which third party recruitment is in progress. As a temporary arrangement against the said vacancies, permanent temporary appointments are required to be made on ad hoc basis under rule 23 of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Civil Servants (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1977. Subject to the following conditions, applications are invited from candidates (male and female) residents of the State of Jammu and Kashmir (including Migrants of Jammu and Kashmir currently residing in Pakistan and Migrants of 1989) for the posts:

Assistant B-16

Graduate from a University recognized by HEC)16

Open Merit Graduation with 06 months diploma in MS

(14) Stenographer (B) 23

Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) etc, having

40 wpm typing speed in English and Urdu.

The age limit for the applicant for the said posts will be minimum 18 and maximum 41 years.

These ad hoc appointments for the post of Stent (B-16) will be effective for a period of six months or till the selection of suitable candidates by the Public Service Commission, whichever is earlier.

– These ad hoc appointments for the post of Stenographer (B-14) will be effective for a period of six months or till the selection of suitable candidates through a third party, whichever is earlier.

A general MCQs test will be conducted from the candidates for the post of Stent B-16 and only the shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Whereas, for the post of Tecnographer (B (14)), a typing test and interview will be conducted in addition to the written test.

These ad hoc appointments will not give rise to the right to permanent appointment.

Only candidates who are qualified in all respects will be given preference for ad hoc appointments.

Government employees will be eligible to submit legitimate applications through the agency.
